New race, same story

So another ET race has come and gone and the results were the same, lost in the first round. I don't really know what my problem was but I was really "chasing the tree" all day. What that means is I couldn't find where on the tree to leave to get a good light. My first reaction time was a .357 and remember .000 is perfect so your looking to get a light in the .020 to .050 range. To say I was slow on the tree is an understatement and my next light was only slightly better, .179, so I have a lot to improve before first round. The times for each run were a little more consistent, 12.18, 12.10 so I put a 12.09 on the window and knew I had to have a pretty good light and I should win. Well my first round light was terrible, a red light in fact -.059 so I wasn't even close on that light and my opponent was handed an easy win. My day was now over, time to pack up and cheer on the every one else, whoopie.

How's this for irony too, my friend Mike whom I race with had the same opponent I for his second round race and what do you think happened? Yup he had a red light too!! His was a lot closer though, -.008 so the guy was given another gift and ran out of luck in the next round when he red lit and finally lost.

The one good thing about the weekend was there was very little wind, no rain or snow, and I actually got sunburned.

There's another chance to do better next Saturday so I'm looking to start doing better.

Well, gosh, I guess you're just too antsy for your own good. Isn't there some kind of exercises you can do to improve your reaction time?
Better luck next week. Lub ya
